Data & Methodology

Our core salary data is sourced from the U.S. Office of Personnel Management. Each dataset records its year, source URL and effective period. General Schedule base pay, locality pay, law-enforcement schedules and special-rate tables are treated as different datasets instead of being mixed together. When a new annual table is published, the old year is preserved for historical reference and the new year is added as a separate dataset.
